Default does LS6 valley cover fit on 06 LQ9 with out block clearancing?

I have the ls6 valley cover from my old motor and remember that the 00 ls1block had to be clearance to get it to fit. I want to know if it will fit on my 06' LQ9 motor before I take the stock valley cover off. I would rather not take it appart and have to get a new gasket if it isn't going to fit with out grinding the block.

Thanks!

I dont believe the LS6 valley cover will work, because of the oil sending unit placement

on the 5.7 motor I have, I had to grind a part of the block that was interfering with the baffle in the cover. There were no issues on the outside of the motor. There was a rib inside, under the cover.

It should fit just fine. Also, No need to buy a new gasket, You can re-use the old one if it is in good shape!!!

It should bolt up without an issue. Obviously, if the baffle is hitting something you need to clearance it but I haven't run into that issue w/ an LS1 or LS6 cover here.
