Unhappy TD's with single chambers come in

I just got a set of single chambers put on my TD's. The exhast is ran under the axel and out the back with an H pipe. The mufflers are tucked up after the axel. I had dynomax bullet's before.

Now my question is why is it more quiet?? Do they have to break in? The bullet's seemed way louder. I always have heard that they were pretty loud. It has the signature sound to them though. I will post some pics of the set up and sound clip when it stops raining.

I just wanted some opions from yall that already had these mufflers.

Thanks.

What kind of single chambers do you have? I'm getting true duals with an h-pipe done in the spring and was leaning toward the singe chamber flowmasters, but maybe not now. You said you had the dynomax bullets on before right? How much louder were they? I love the sound of the chambered mufflers, but don't want anything quiet by any means.

the 1 chamber race mufflers are quieter than the bullets. They should still scream pretty good at WOT though.

The bullets are going to be louder, they are basically a straight through racing muffler.

Bullets can barely be classified as mufflers, they do not cancel -db much at all. The single chambers do not muffle a whole bunch more, but definitely more than the bullets. My car firing up still knocks stuff of the garage walls.....sound clip in sig.

I liked my 1 chambers over bullets. both dumped tho. the bullets set up had an X pipe. The one chambers non of that. track times stayed the same. I like the deeper tone of the chambered muffler.

were your bullets dumped? if so it might seem like they're alot quieter to you just because the exhaust is exiting behind the car. It actually makes a huge difference inside.

I have 3" over axel and they were quiet at first but now they are pretty loud. I would give it a little bit, they may not be as loud as the bullets but I think you will like them.

If you want it louder in the cabin turn the tips down 45° as they exit the muflers. The pulses will bounce off the ground right behind the car. It is badass.

If you want the single chambers to be louder just dump 'em. They sound way better that way anyways

No they are not dumped, the bullets were not dumped either. I don't have any pics of the setup but I do have a sound clip.

When I started this thread the single chambers were not that loud but they have opened up a lot. I was kinda disapointed at first but not now. I think they sound great now.

Torchd 02 TA that sounds badass.

Here is the sound clip here

What do yall think?

Thanks a lot everybody.

Doesn't sound too bad. It does seem a little quiet for single chambers though. Mine's pretty loud with them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bOex9OAjLeo

lol. The rod knock is louder than the exhaust right now. Whoops. As for the rims, they're 18x10.5" OEWheels machined face/black vent deep dish C5's.

Bullets sound like *** compared to 1 chambers IMO. The 1 chambers are a bit quieter, but they have more of a "tone" to them. IMO for a "Race" car sound, there isn't a better muffler.
