Default Dirty Dingo lsx adjustable motor mounts???

Check these things out... just saw them on the internet. They look pretty bad *** because you can use your old frame motor mounts in the existing holes and just side the motor so it fits perfect...best part about it is there VERY affordable.

http://dirtydingo.com/store/American...306/index.html

Has anyone used these before??? Please give me some input on these things before i order them!

I like what I see, this would make it easier to try to fit in a new transmission too you would think. Let's say the new tranny hangs off 1" you could just slide the entire drivetrain forward or backward

I emailed them for more information, i'll post whatever they give me.

Awsome...ya i think its a really good idea...i dont know how were finding about this now...haha. Will work out good for me because i run a 6spd behind my ls1 on my chevelle and the trans is soo close to the firewall the bolts cannot come out all the way so you have to remove motor and trans togthere, but with this you can just slide it forward!

Looks like they would work in a truck also.

So do they come with any kind of rubber insulator, or are they solid mounted? Personally, I don't like anything solid mounted, but the idea looks good.

I grabbed the set they had on ebay. $75 and $15 for shipping. If anyone wants to buy a set just wait til they put up a buy it now auction, its $5 cheaper than the site and you don't have to deal with making an account with their site.

The solid mount to the block like all mounts do, then the rubber is on the frame mount.

What type of rubber mount is used on the frame mount that will attach to the Dirty Dingo adjustable mounts? A picture sure would help here.

I'm trying to visualize how these would work on my '32 Ford TCI chassis. I already have a set of the engine mount adapters with the Energy Suspension SBC poly mounts but I need to move the engine/trans back another 1"-1½". These 'slider mounts' would help but I don't see how they would work with the traditional SBC style frame mounts on my TCI chassis. I tried to attach a pic of my set-up but even after resizing it 5-6 times, the attachment manager said it still 'exceeded forum quota'.

Doh! Why didn't I think of that?! A very elegant solution.

these are solid mounts. they bolt directly to the frame, with no rubber or poly at all.

as an aside, they're only a few miles from me - dude's a pretty cool guy. they do some great work. they also sell the idler pulley adapter to use truck accessories w/ a car intake (and it's much cheaper than others).

Back from the dead bump! Anyone installed these? I'm doing an LY6/200r4 swap in my G-body and strongly considering dirtydingo mounts over the Edelbrock's.

MONTE CARLO 1970-72 350, 402, 454 DD-62510L
1973-87 307, 350 +DD-62515L

+ Requires MOROSO frame mounts 62630

I know this is an old thread but I am wondering what peoples opinions are on these. I am swapping an ls1/t-56 into my 67 Camaro and am trying to decide on which mounts to go with. I'm actually looking at their new ones that allow the use of rubber or poly mounts too. Thanks

I've got the new ones on my motor and have test fit it in the bay. Bought them so I could move the motor around the trans instead of vice versa. Motor should be going in for good in a week or two so we'll see how it goes.

The adjust-ability of the mounts makes them look like its the way to go. I was considering these when I was looking at the idler bracket.

I'm using them in my swap. They seem to be nice pieces. I should actually know how it works out in the coming weeks.

I already have the plates mounted on the block, but here's how mine is going to work out (hopefully):
