Well the last day of the season was a cold one, as always the december air brought the freaky negative DA that everyone luvs.. So after a couple of runs til the track heated up the car went 11.66@115+ 4 times launching harder with a best of 1.59 60ft. All new bests since putting the cheater-type baby cam in a few months ago, and still no headers! Had a blast running as always and pleased overall with how it ran today. Congrats to everyone who ran great, and enjoyed hanging out with everybody and always a pleasure chatting with you Marc. Next year maybe finally put the damn headers on. And feels like the car is begging for gears now (3.73's)

Yea that was me, that was a fun day.I put the little cam in it since then and picked up 25 hp which is ok i guess.
Not sure, think about the same, but the air was so good yesterday if the car didn't run a number i would have been pissed!

Heard you guys had some great air yesterday. Was told -1600. Congrats on your new best. Don't see many people do a cam before headers!

We did 11.86 at 111 with stock cam, but we have headers/3.42s/3600vig. 1.54 60'.

Congrats on the new best! I always love seeing how the oddball setups run (cam before headers, heads before cam, etc). What did it put down before and after the cam?

339 before cam.......364 after.....small custom grind similar to the cheater. I just wanted to do something different, I know that I am leaving some power on the table so I'll probably do them and gears for next season.

Same here Greg, always good times hangin' at the track. And yes, some good headers/Y-pipe and a set of 3.73s (you'll likely need some fresher tires at that point as well) would definitely chop a huge chunk of time out of your ET.

Thanks. Traction was a bit of a problem so I didn't get a new best ET but I did run another 10 second pass (10.98) to back up the two (10.97 & 10.99) that I ran on Tuesday and I did go new best 1/8th mile (99.19mph) and 1/4 mile (125.41mph) traps so all in all it was still a good day.

Wow, nice air. You're now cutting the same sixty foots that my Z28 used to (I had a best of 1.58 (once) and then a couple of 1.59s before I retired the car) but I never pulled a wheel like that, or at least not that I know of.

If I recall, didn't that same lean tune break someone else's motor? Why would you switch back when RPM's tune made more power and safely?
