anyone around melbourne want to make a few bucks installing a cam? hi, i am looking for someone around the Melbourne area who can install a cam for me??? i had back surgery and can't do anything for a year and don't want to wait that long to install it myself. i know after the holidays someone wants to make some money.

Take it to a professional like rev xtreme. Short story I had changed like 3 cams in my ls1 when I found out that the cam retaining plate was wearing and shaving metal in the oil pump. Whole engine failed. Alot of people dont know that the cam retaining plate wear is a defect from GM and can happen to anyone. My advice is leave it alone or take it to a professional.
