Default Eastside rules

Well just had Eastside performance install one of there proven turbo 400 and coverter in my car.Tranny is a hughes RVMB turbo 400 with a hurst 1/4 stick with the transbrake on the button of the hurst. The car orginally had a 6spd in it and i swore I never would go auto but man the little driving that i have done man I should have done along time ago. That converter kicks in and the car just gets up goes.

Well too bad all the tracks are closed ill have to wait till atco opens up to see what it can do.Just cant say enough about the quality install by eastside they always do a great job.Thanx again Kenny,Gary and Sean. Can't wait to get up to the track with JL and the chef and I want to see Garys car go on its maiden voyage with the new setup shold be a intresting 2010.

new bests LOL, he's gonna get kicked out after the first pass and get told to get a lic, 8.50 cert, etc.

That car's lighter then mine was by probably a good 150 to 200 lbs and makes the same if not more power.. and I am pretty sure he's got a little more jet in it then I do.

Dave, I wouldn't be surprised to see that car go 9.30 the first full pass if it's leaving right and you get a clean run.

Dave if we get to a rental where we can slowly dial the car in it WILL go DEEP into the 9s, we just need to work it like we did JL's car so it dont go straight to the bumper...doh, but we know how to avoid that now

order up a set of travel limiters and a set of MADMAN SYA bars over the winter, cheap insurance. And start saving for the rest of the 10pt and parachute.

Yes, a set of traval limiters are going to be a MUST. DO NOT RUN THE CAR WITHOUT THEM. You're likly going to do the same thing I did and stand it up.

Better yet, if you can get to a rental in the early spring, don't go if we can't get there with you. I don't want to see you get hurt, wreck the car, have something bad happen. You're a good driver.. but when the car stands up if you're not ready for it and do the wrong thing, you'll kerminate it.

You have a car that I am 110% sure is capable of going faster then I have, we need to get the car to leave right, and you need to shut the car off @ the 1/8th mile so we can look at the plugs and make adjustments as needed.

Shoot me a call a month or so before you are going to run it and I can give you a list of what to get for plugs, jets, etc. so that it can get dialed in. It will take a few 1/2 track runs and clicking the key off so we can get the thing leaving right, and get the tuneup looking right, once it's good though... your first full run, is gonna be a good one. That I'm sure of.

I couldn't tell ya. One thing for sure, that car was destroyed after his stand up incident... and I don't want to see dave or anyone for that matter do that to their car.

Yeah I remeber that. I'll have a set of limiters and bars on my car when the new motor goes in.

Congrats man sounds like a beast!

however with all the mods posting in here I thought we weren't allowed to rep shops that are supporting vendors on the board? Didn't Joel get banned for this but the mods are supporting this thread?

Some people learn the hard way! I was at the track that night. The first pass went straight up in the air. You would think after saving the car after that pass you would RE-THINK your next. NOPE! I watched him go right back into the lanes and give it another try. This time he was successful in wrecking the car.

there is nothing wrong with this thread, Dave is not a employee of a shop, not a owner, he is not posting contact information, etc...he is NOT breaking any rules.

Listen to the guys that have been there and done that, and take your time. I've seen this car run with the M6 and I'm sure it is going to be a handful with the new setup. Good luck with it, hope to see it at LVD in the Spring.

If you're going to do a set of wheelie bars too, then you're for sure going to be fine. Just go as long as you can and have it fit on the trailer, or if you can tolerate removing them, go that long. Longer the better.
