Default Will a 4th Gen catback fit on a 3rd gen?

Before I start... Yes I know this is technically in the wrong section.. But hey it's a 4th gen part

My buddy has a 88 or 89 Iroc and he doesn't have alot of cash. Will my 4th Gen factory catback fit on his Camaro? I told him I'd check it out and he can have mine for nothing since he's a good buddy of mine. But my Camaro is covered in snow and I'm tired of taking 2ft of snow off it.. So if anyone has some insight let me know.

Thanks, Tim

Everything other than the cat to intermediate pipe connection is the same.

yeah you'll need what SLP used to ccall the "S" pipe.

third gens, and early 4th gens (i think) terminated teh Ypipe along the passenger side, then the intermediate pipe had an S in it to route the tube down the center of the car.

your Ipipe will end right around the middle of your trans, centerline of the car.

get a U bend for cheap, cut it int he middle to the U and make to J. then flip one side around to make the needed S. have a shop weld it up for $10.

won't be real easy to do...but should work

Conflicting replies.. I'll have to put his car on the lift and check it out. I remember what mine looks like by memory I've been under it so many times.
