Cam help v2 v3 ms3
ok well, long story short ive got a stock bottom end and i am getting ready to order my prc stage 2.5 5.3l heads and a cam package......
my cam choice was the 233/239
i called tsp and the guy told me that that cam was a nitrous cam and if i just wanted a stout N/A motor not to get it because i could make better power with another cam
so.. now im stuck on one of these 3 cams.
Torquer v2
Torquer v3
MS3
there are things i like and dislike about all 3 so what do you guys think?
what do you have??? hows the driveability?? what kinda power did your setup make?? What times does it run???

i dont really like the high lift of the v3 what i like about it is i hear it is suppose to make more torque down low than a v2 and more power all the way up to redline
dont know if its true or not but thats why im here asking for help

oh i heard that you have to change valve springs alot when using the v3 is that the same with the ms3 and v2 as well or is it because of the high lift

plp say that because of the high lift. If you get good double springs, and dont beat the **** outta it on daily basis, you should be ok for some good mileage. I have a T3 waiting because of the good results I've seen over here; seems that 420-450rwhp is easy with strong midrange and ok for DD.

I have a Torquer 3 right now and I daily drove it for a year. The lift didn't scare me one bit. Not one thing wrong with it. Car made great power 443.7 through a stalled auto and a set of Stage 2 64cc Patriots. I will be doing a set of PRC 215s milled to 59cc and a Tsunami cam here soon.

I run the Tv3 and love it. I have a nice flat torque curve and good power. I have had it for over a year maybe close to 2 years I'm not sure. I don't drive the car all the time now but I did when I first got it and it drive fine. Springs are still good. You can see what I put down in my sig. That is through cats as well, with no cats and a cut out I'm sure I would pick some more power.

I have the PRC 2.5 5.3l heads and V2 with LS6 intake on a 2000 Z28 M6. I put down 408RW. I also have 135,000 miles on the bottom end. If I had it to do again, I would go with the 243 heads worked on. JMO
