The Wife Goes 11.13 @ 115.71
Last night, Kayle(Wife) and I went out to HRP to have her make a couple of last last runs on the Hot Rod for the year 2003.
This will be the 1st time anyone has driven my Hot Rod at the track except for me.
Well, the Ole Lady did pretty good. She busted out a 11.13 @ 115.71 with a 1.52 a 1.52 60ft.
Not to bad for the 2 time at the track driving.
The slip looked like this:
60' 1.52
330 4.533
1/8 7.05
mph 97.81
1000 9.76
1/4 11.13
mph 115.71
Weight of the Hot Rod 3050 with her in it.

Did she beat your best time? I have seen picks of you and like myself U are no small fella. My wife ALWAYS runs our Hawk and she ALWAYS runs better than me. I am Italian 5'11" 265, she is Korean 5'2" 99-100 depending on clothes, lol. I love to see her run. People see she's a girl driving, then start talking all smack about the car and how slow it will be, then I just stand behind them and laugh. Kuddos to you and yours for sharing the Experience. Bear

Awesome!
Coach's car has a 7k rev limiter, and it hits about 100ft before the traps. Reason being, that's a cam-only motor in there. Completely stock bottom end, only upgraded (cheap) springs, pushrods, oil pump, and timing chain. I know, 'cuz it's my spare motor.
Man, I bet if we had some better valvetrain pieces in there, and let 'er wrap up to 7200-7300, you'd get a true 10...

Bear,
No, she didn't run faster than me but she came pretty close. You are right, Iam the same size as you 5'11" and 265. She is only 5'9" and 130.
Derek,
It was cool this time. I wanted to run the Hot Rod but Kayle said it was her night to drive the Hot Rod and she was the only one going to drive last night.
unit213,
As Andrew said. It gets on the limiter pretty hard about 100 feet from the finish line. The 5.13 gears are a little much for the little motor that could.
Andrew,
I had her shifting at 5800 rpms. I think if we could have bumped up the shift light to the normal 6,500 rpms she would have been in the 10's for sure. She is still trying to learn how to launch the Hot Rod. We may rent the track sometime in Feb. and let her launch and back up and try it again several times to get the hang of it.
