True n00b. Converting religion from rice to muscle
Hey guys, just thought I would introduce myself before I make a fool of myself asking a bunch of sbc questions, as well as questions about the first gen V.
What got me interested in domestics is my place of work. I work at Advance Autoparts and one of my coworkers has a big block '70 Nova that he has had for over 20years and is quite a runner. I'll try to find time slips and pics of his set-up. My boss also has a '68 short wide with a 383 stroker as a fun car and another truck with his 402 in it. Once I rode in them,I was hooked!!!
I have a history of "rice". I currently drive a '03 Evo 8 and Im in the processing of restoring a '73 240z and will hopefully have my first sbc in it! YAY V8 FTW! haha. I'm also looking into purchasing my cousins 05 CTS-V. All I know is that its pretty quick for the hog that it is, has an ls6, and sucks that it has 6lug (low rim choices).
Hope my intro wasnt too long. Here's some pics of my rice mobile!
Cheers

welcome to the site. how fast is that evo?
i've owned a few mitsubishi cars and was waiting for the evo to make it over back when they had the evo3. i really wish they didn't have to de-tune them as much as they did when they finally made it over, but they're still pretty quick. we need some fq400's running around putting the fear in domestics. next car for me (after wife gets hers) will either be LSx powered or an evo9 if i can get one for cheap enough. i'll keep my ss though.

The best I got it to go, was 12.48 @ 107mph. I had a coil pack go out on me at the track and haven’t returned since. And that was with a 1.8 60ft on my all season tires, haha.
Yeah.. Lucas right? If so then yeah of course I remember. haha
Thanks! And I cant wait to start digging my car into some muscle.
Hp Sells cars, Torque wins races. Im ready to break some sh*t. Again...haha .As for the guys in OK area, they know my car loves to eat transfer cases. LOL

AnniSS, What's your name again bro? I meet so many ppl at my work and in my military career and its hard for me to put a name to face/car, lol.
M3's are pretty whicked, I was gonna get one as well, but i wanted a lil more power luxury which is why Im in the process of gettin the V. I may have to let go of the Evo to get it though, I wish I didnt have to get rid of both, but.... Gotta make the cut somewhere. Or make more money! haha

Im happy everyone enjoys my rice mobile. Lol, and yea Angels is pretty quick. I beat him only once on a highway roll. And from a first gear roll, he brake-boosted and i didnt and we were even all the way to 4th. I was like damn.. brake-boost FTW. Lol. But he has a new turbo and I havent tried playing with that lately =P
