Default Anyone try these dash's yet?

VFN fiberglass dash (4 pounds). Seems good for an all-out drag car with aftermarket gauges:

its a two peice glass shell. What you see is what you get. There other ones seem to fit well in other cars. I beleive you need to use dsuz fastners or rivit it in if you wish.

I have one in my camaro. It is a firebird dash, so fitment was off on each side by a couple inches. It is nice and light, good for a full drag car. With compromise to weight a sheetmetal dash would look better. For the price it was a worthwhile mod. Sorry no pics and the car is in the shop.

I used dzus fasetners, one on each side by the door and three evenly spaced on the top. Removal and reinstall is fairly easy.

I had sheetmetal plates made for the gauges around the instrument cluster and one for the stereo area

I know it isn't a great deal of weight savings, but if you are converting to all aftermarket gauges I think it might be much easier, and save 8 lbs in the process. Just another option available.

I guess.. I have never seen that dash in person though but it does look kinda cheezy.

You could remove your gauge cluster and make a sheet metal plate for your gauges to sit in if you wanted to. You can still put gauges in your vents as well.

Eh, not my style but to each their own... 8lbs is 8lbs
