Comp T/A Hp Numbers
Just out of curiosity I have been searching and looking trying to find out what the HP Numbers are for the Comp TA LT1 compared to Stock, WS6 and Firehawks. I have had people tell me SLP pretty much built them like the Firehawks...ect..ect..ect...its seems as if the Comp's almost became the bastard child, and any sites that had info seem to be down. Any info or links would be helpful. Thanks guys

It was a Firehawk TA basically. All Firehawk options were available. Most were 315hp, if I remember right, because of the exhaust. The stock exhaust, at least 95, was the regular LT1 exhaust with what became the WS6 tips. I want to say those were 305hp but I'm not sure, might have been 310hp.

My parents are thinking of selling one or both Comp TA's they have. One is a 95 M6 hardtop and the other is a 96 A4 T-Top. Both have HOT cam, LT4 heads/intake, SLP mid length headers, etc(most of the normal mods). Both are low mileage and in great shape. Neither of them has seen the track in years. The 95 went 12.2 and the 96 went 12.6, if I remember right.
If anybody is interested, just shoot me a PM.

A lot of the 96 SS cars got the honed out exhaust manifolds but they stopped that somewhere in towards the end of the model year or very early in the 97 model year if I remember right. Never heard anything about the Comps or Hawks getting these also.
300HP for 95-97 Comp with stock exhaust
315HP for 95-97 Comp with TOTL SLP exhaust
Only the following was done to these cars just like the same year Firehawks;
1. "LT1 WS6 style" Ram Air hood (different than 93-96 Firehawk hood)
2. center stripe and Comp decals on driver's headlight door, doors, and under right tail light
3. Comp TA air box
4. Mobil1 engine plaque
5. numbered console plaque
6. door jamb SLP stickers
7. Speedline Alesio wheels with Comp T/A center caps and BFG Comp T/A tires
Options:
1. Hurst shifter
2. Bilstein suspension
3. TOTL SLP catback
4. 96-97 may have had a Castrol synthetics package like the SS can't remember.
5. 96-97 may have had the Auburn read diff option like the SS, also can't remember.
