Default Installing FAST 78mm

I just picked up a FAST 78mm intake manifold with egr for my 240sx. My buddy and I were going to throw it on his 2000 ws6 untill summer, I just had a few questions.

Will his stock throttle body bolt up to the FAST intake?

Anything special we need to do with the coolant lines?

Will it show any gains untuned? Car has 228r cam and longtube headers.

Thanks

Stock throttle body will bolt up, nothing special has to be done with the coolant lines. It may show some gains, but it might not idle worth a damn either.

Coolant line will have to be changed to the LS6 lines.

My Fast 78 was worth .2/2mph over the stock LS1 intake.

as stated....new coolant lines will be needed.

if he's going from an ls1 intake you should see NICE gains. its very possible you'll need a tune. mine was lean after the FAST...lean enough we cut the dyno run short

try smushing the stock coolant line a little bit, flattening a little.use a piece of wood and a rubber mallet.

Make sure you use the bolts for the LSX manifold on the Valley cover... You cannot use the stock ones or you will crack the Manifold!!!! They are buttonhead bolts.

plug up the egr hole with a expanding frost plug .run a 85 mm BBK TB.the LS6 intake with a 85 mm TB combo is within 5 HP.
