That sucks. As if there weren't already plenty of other reasons not to live in Mississippi.

I'm not seeing the problem since it says the use of nitrous is illegal not having it. You're not supposed to be speeding or racing so technically you shouldnt be using it in the first place.

I love this statement..

.(Rep. Donnie Bell, Transportation Committee vice chairman, said nitrous oxide enables cars to hit speeds of up to 200 mph in "very short amounts of time.")

They have been watching "the fast and furious" way to much.

so, whats next? start banning engines that make too much horsepower? I mean lets face it, theres a lot of cars these days making 500rwhp and up that are N/A

Lots of cars running nitrous make less power than that.

This is nothing new. A lot of other states do this. To be legal just take the bottle out. It says "use of nitrous" on the street.

If your good enough to hide the nitrous from street racers, you should have no prob hiding it from a cop.

Same rule in Arkansas..you not supposed to run it on the street.

So, if I am rolling with it in my car headed to Hub City or Gulfport dragway and get stopped, I could get in trouble?

From what I understand here in Illinois is if the lines are disconnected and gauge on your dash reads zero they cant get you for it.You can transport it to the track no problem I bet

Thats how it will be.

"The legislation would not impact race car drivers who legally use nitrous oxide in vehicles operating on designated racetracks."

They are not saying you cannot have nitrous, just saying you cant use it on the street.

You can still legally have a kit on your car and go to the track with it, you just couldn't have it operational on the street.

Im gonna put the Nitrous Express tag on my car and watch them try to find it....lol

Joke not funny.....the trooper died. Regardless of the situation, he died doing his job because a moron ran.

As I said elsewhere already, I do not see this as a big deal.
