Default Borla adjustable CB with cam and e-coutout vid

I made a video showing the great muffling capabilities of the Borla adjustable cat back. I have been driving with the cutout open and this cam setup for over 4 months now. It was loud, annoying, and a major cop magnet. Finally got the QTP cutout for this cat back and man what a difference!

It may be kind of hard to tell how quiet this setup is with the cutout closed at first. When I open it and compare, the difference is night and day and the noise level.

Sorry for the crappy video quality, its an iPhone, and night time, and hard to follow my motion sometimes. Either way, enjoy!

PS I was farting around the effects in windows movie maker, sorry for the LSD trip, haha.

Yeah I know what you mean. I Had LTs, cats, Borla and Cutout. It was so much quieter closed up, but so much better open. Mine stayed open most of the time.

Don't get me wrong, with just bolt ons I never would of dreamed of wanting it closed, it was perfect for what it was. With a cam, HA! With it open, you couldn't sneak up on the deaf!

Yeah a cam makes it whole different animal. Never had it closed when I was all bolt on either.

Yea, i loved my borla open with just lt and ory, but with the 402 damn she is mean. Still not too bad with the cutout closed, but we have a state trooper around here that is a huge dick about exhaust. My time will come, then back to magnaflow.

I had straight pipes when I was bolt ons, now I've just got a Ypipe with a bullet and that's still too loud. I'm going to do true duals with e-cutouts and a really quiet catback... Should be sneaky hehe.

Nice vid and comparison. I think you just sold me on one of these. I'm sick of it being so loud and I lost my plates. Thanks for the vids!

Thanks! and no problem. I was only given the single block off plate from the previous owner. I was not about to hop under every time I wanted to change it.

Here is the newer video

What you can hear more than anything is the axle crossover bumping against the rear subframe due to busted motor mounts.

I run a stock catback, with a cutout, and I love being able to be super quiet, then just absurdly loud

Still sounds pretty loud with borla, must be a cammed thing Can tell the difference tho between open and closed.

I'm afraid with SLP LM2 and cats, a decent cam will still be pretty loud and choppy. Dont want to draw too much attention since I"m not sure how cops are in Houston. I know we have emissions but they dont do a sniffer test, just plug and check for codes

I'm already here in houston I wanted to cam this car but its my daily driver and only car. Dont want to get crazy with it since it needs to be reliable and get good spring life.

I hear you on that one. I saw the Pittsburgh location in your avatar area. This car is my DD too, only problem I have had with it thus far is me breaking the rocker the bolt. But it has also only been four months. I dont blame you for not wanting to cam the DD, I can definitely understand how some wouldn't now that mine is.

3" and QTP makes one specifically for the Borla Adjustable Cat-back, although I have no idea what the difference is between the standard 3" and Borla version.

I don't think there is a difference. I have used mine in both places. On the Borla and a standard cutout.
