Those who have mini tubbed and/or cut out trunk bottom-Come inside
Im going to start getting the things together to install wolfe mini tubs, cut out the bottom t top well in the trunk as well as the sides, install wolfe through floor subframe connectors and a 10 pt Chromoly SOS cage.
Does anyone who has done any of that have any tips? Things you wish you had done differently or mistakes you made along the way?
What gauge sheetmetal did you use for the trunk floor?
Thanks for the help, I appreciate any input you can add!

I just got done doing mine. I used 16 gauge steel and welded it in place. I used a spot weld cutter to get the t-top bucket out.

I am in process on mine. 16g as well for t-top area and 18 for cubbies. wheel wells just take FOREVER (for me anyways) and cutting ALL that out saved me apx 40lbs (after new pieces are in)....I have read here that it was supposed to be about double that so I was disappointed. only regret would have to be NOT bead rolling the flat pan in the t-top area. it's not horrible by any means, just something I would have done because it does flex a little.
if you can get a hold of a plasma cutter, you'll thank yourself for it - theres a fair amount of cutting and it helped.
