Holy crap, that aint right!! Wouldnt that be a hell of an Over Haulin episode lol. It goes to show though, how many other classics are out there just waiting to be found. I just read a article in HOTROD that a guy sold his 68' GT500 that had been in his garage for years and unrestored, because of the economy he was gona loose his house.

As much as i love barn finds and other un-restored cars. The man is rich, has the money to take care of at least give wash them keep the fluids fresh and maintained. Instead they just sit probably getting vandalized. Sad story, hopefully they won't be crushed...

I think about it all the time when i'm on the road. "I wonder what's in that barn or old run down garage". There are thousands of rare un-restored cars that we don't even know about.

its good to see you guys are like minded and see how they are rotting away unlike the morons in the lounge, the guy was offered car covers and all, but refused.

theres a few lengthy threads on digitalcorvettes they are the ones that found the cars

Unhappy

Yeah that's a famous story/situation from many years ago. I remember when the 'uncared for cars being stored in a dusty garage' thing was first made public a few years back and I even remember the original VH1 contest that gave out those 36 cars as a grand prize in the first place.

That is just sad. I always found the 58-62 Corvettes to be some of the sexiest cars ever conceived.

I love reading stories just like this....That story came to mind when I read this one. That was in car craft I believe...from Wisconsin right??

The guy thought people were going to steal his motors so he pulled them all out and put the #'s mathcing ones away. Some of the cars were one of one...Gold 70 Chevelle SS with Green Interior, lol. I will try and find that one as well. The cars were buried in a trailer underground so nobody could find them.
