I'm running a TSP Rumbler catback with no tips, and unfortunately you can see the pipes.
Which is really bad because its been a bitch for us to line up the pipes straight.
Oh, and also... I'm not running any cats and I'm ******* up my bumper which has me really furious, hoping the turndowns will fix that.
I haven't thought about painting them, but I'm going to try to tuck them up as high as possible and do turn downs.

I have a flowmaster 80 series muffler with no tips and painted black, you can hardly see it unless your really looking. The pipes are only about five inches out of the muffler. I did have B&B tips on the car, but after I installed the cut-out (which is pretty much open all the time except for on the highway) it seemed weird having the exhaust dumped with tips out back. It's so nice to close the cut-out and have the quietness of the cat-back on the highway. I prefer the look of no tips on a camaro unless you have CME. I also haven't noticed any problems with heat on my bumper because the pipes are so far under the car, hope this helps!

I had a 2OTL that I cut the ends of the tips off of and turned down, similar to ping kings. I really loved that setup and have been looking for one. The huge tips on my current magnaflow just don't do it for me.

i ran my GMMG with no tips for the longest and you could see the pipes still and it looked like crap imo... you could prob get a muffler shop to route the pipes to hide a lil bit more...
