can some one please give me a measurement from the top of the intake to there hood? I'm going to be running a 6.0 with a vic jr intake and a carb but my air hat has a 2" spacer on it and i need to know if a 4" cowl will clear it. i found a good deal but I'm not sure if it will clear.

from the intake manifold/carb mounting surface i need 9.5" minimum.

please can some one get me a measurement

Im running a truck intake on mine and it clears a 2.5" cowl hood. With a 4" hood it should work as the only place im even close is at the front where the throttle body is and I got it to clear with the cover on the intake.

I can see. might be kind of hard. My hood doesnt really have an opening in the back, its got a grille type peice so stuff cant get in under the hood.

I don't have the car with me to measure, but here are a few reference pics. This is using a L92 Vic jr. and a 1" spacer. Its VERY close with a 4" hood ! Even with a drop base 14"x3" filter .

It may work wont know till you mock it up. The problem with clearence is towards the front. If you have a 4" cowl hood it may clear.
