help front lip splitter ??
i got a new ws6 hood an my car is currently in the shop getting painted.its so low that it hits every driveway speedbump etc. so i lookin into buying a splitter from 6litereaterdesigns but ther is a bevel cut type splitter for an extra 50 bucks. it says on the site that you can look up gm high tech performance camaro an it has it on ther but i cant find it at all. does anybody know the difference from a regular front lip splitter to a bevel cut splitter?i would greatly appreciate any help.

Not sure on the difference between the 2 cuts, but if your car already scrapes now, be prepared to have the splitter scrape as well. I have a splitter on my Formula, and now I have to be careful going up driveways and parking because it hangs a little low and will scrape on curbs and the cement parking things. They look great on our cars, but you'll need to be even more careful. They are made of a strong plastic, but I see it could break if it met with a curb that isnt so forgiving.

yeah the only reason i want it is because i dont wanna scratch the paint. and yeah i read in a forum on here somewhere someone broke one going up a driveway. but i didnt think about it that way, thats definatly true. appreciate the facts titan.

I have the non beveled version, and lov it. The beveled version looks great, I just didn't need it. I had my front end repainted right before I put my splitter on and I've LOVED it for saving the paint under the nose. I've never really worried about breaking it either (it does bend a tiny bit) but I've never hit it straight on to something. These splitters we make are pretty forgiving as far as bending on driveways potholes and dips...... and we've got plenty here in Los Angeles.
If you're going more for the looks, get the B-cut, it finishes the look....but you'll still love it without.

The only splitter I know of breaking was mine, and that was from a front end collision, and it only broke in one spot from 60+ mph+3500lbs of force.
I also have a RIDICULOUSLY steep drive way, some 40-50 degrees, and I made it up and down it fine, daily.
