Default Slowhawk has new motor on order

Well after hemming and hawing the past year I finally decided the vette needed 500 RWHP. With Don at my side we'll get it and run mid 10's maybe better. Good driveability for the steet too which as many of you know is important to me. He can fill in the details cam intake etc. but the motor is a 416 built by Va speed with L92 heads. No S/C.

sweet Brent! Can't go wrong with that motor, you'll probably go deep 10s with alot less horse than your blower setup

I did a few but it just doesn't end up cost affective.By the time I measure everything over/over then take forever to get the perfect rings gaps it's just too much time. Shawn at Virginia Speed is an excellent builder and takes all the time to make sure everything is 100% and in the end is cheaper than what I would have to charge.

His setup usses a new LS3 block.

Low to mid 10's is the plan.We are going for a pretty mild setup.Yes we could easilly build a 346ci for the goal but the drivability/reliability will suffer.

You guys getting the heads touched up? Also just curious what kind of price variance do you see from an ls2 to the ls3 block?

Yeah Brent 500rwhp in a stalled vette, you will be under 10.5 no sweat and that setup will be a torque monster. Plus the drivetrain might last more than a year through an auto

I should have taken up Mike's offer before he sold evil. I haven't been in a rocket for a long time and its taking me too long to build my own.
