Most of us know how to search, but who wants to slog through the thousands of posts to get a couple of simple answers. If you know the answer then help the guy out. Thanks to the guy who gave his email and actualy offered to help. I hope someone gives you some straight answers because I would love to do a similar swap in the future. Good luck

ok a few hints, you need a gto oil pan. i used progressive engineering motor mount, had sanderson build me custom headers. and used speartech for electronics. hope that helps? i can't post pics but if you give me your e-mail i can send them to you. as far as i know i am the only one with a operating driving example of this conversion and i am willing to help whoever needs it.

I am putting a ls1 in my 67. I used dirty dingo mounts. My exhaust is my only major problem left. I custom built frame connectors. Relocated the firewall back about 3 in. Im using the cts-v front brackets. You can see some pics on fb seely's automotive. I will put some updated pics up when i get time. A 94 jimmy driveshaft fits perfect.

So does these dirty dingo mounts bolt right up? I'm wanting to buy a 68 stang and add a 5.3 with a turbo to it. I want it to be a bolt In deal though and cheap. It's just a ragged toy for Sunday fun.

sounds like they made his swap easier, but he moved his firewall back 3", id imagine he didnt leave that for a gap behind the engine, and that doesnt sound like an easy bolt in deal unfortunately..

i still havent seen any known to fit/specific mounts for these older fords

Dirty dingo is a universal hot rod style mount welded in with no problem. I Relocated the firewall so it would be flat. My A/c and heater lines will all be hidden in the fenders. I done the firewall for looks only didnt like the looks of it. Have my headers built, as soon as i get the underhood painted i can hook everything up.

Glad I found this thread. Haven't had much luck with a search. I might be taking a '69 Mustang as a partial trade for my Chevelle, and am considering a LSx swap. I already have the GTO pan/pick-up, but not much else.

The swap is not complex at all. I put a LS 1 six speed in my 1969 Mustang fastback and it runs strong. Will post pictures and I am not worried what the ford guys think because this is my car and money. It get twenty miles to the gallon, plenty of power and most importantly I can drive it any where without worries of if it is going to break down.if you need help I will give you all the information that I have.

I fit a T56 in my 67 Cougar without tunnel modifications. The trick is to move the engine forward slightly.
