Default Ran a Pontiac G8 GXP - Vid inside

My cousin brought over his stock GXP...He couldnt wait to run my V. The video is at night so its not the greatest. We ran probably 10 times with the same outcome for each so I only included one.

It was cold that night (35 degrees) so we never ran from a dig...I couldn't hook for sht.

I thought it would have been closer as well. I went for a ride in his car before hand and I was a little concerned...that LS3 rips.

Way to represent!!!
Of course if you would have lost, we would have started a 'Non-detectible Secret Mod Fund' for you.

my guess is untuned auto, those things can be dogs from a roll with the sloppy auto programming that GM puts in them. I hear they are totally different animals with a tune and TQ management taken out. either way good kill.

I already started that fund for a Maggie. No worries.

The car was an automatic but it was tuned. In the video he manually had it in second and it ran real well. If you notice there was no honking to start the race. I waited for him to hit it first. It still took me all of 2nd and most of 3rd before I started to pull. Once I hit 4th it was over.

We tried a 1st gear roll at 20mph. He would pull almost a car length on me, the auto was no slouch. I wouldnt catch up till 3rd gear. The Auto hooked real hard where I would slip. It would be one tough race from a dig.

The issue was not the auto...I had to reel him in almost every race. Either way I'm real happy with the outcome and he was pretty pissed. I plan to get more video's now that it's gettting warmer.

IMO the auto is why you pulled no doubt. If he was a M6, it would have been dead even.

The G8 GXP delivers a zero to 60 mph time of about 4.7 seconds, and a quarter-mile time of 13.0 seconds at 108 mph.

Power comes from a 6.2-liter LS3 small-block V8 engine delivering 402 horsepower and 402 pound-feet of torque.

I thought it was 415 HP.

"GM's media site that shows the 6.2 liter LS3 V-8 engine from the Corvette transplanted into the G8 GXP generating 415 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque"

Do these V's run faster than a 13.0 bone stock?
