what is this? Not my transmission but couldnt find a better photo of it but when i had my can on a lift i looked at it and it seems to be sticking out about half to 3/4 of an inch. What it is and is it supposed to stick out?

That is a Tremec T-56 and that is the fill plug. Mine doesn't stick out that far but anything is possible. The plug itself isn't very deep so it may be cross threaded if its out that far. If its tight and not leaking, I'd leave it alone.

if you really dont know, it is the fill plug and it screws in the trans, it will stop when tight, You remove that plug and fill the trans until fluid starts to come out of that hole, Then put the plug back in.
Or it is where the flux capacitor attatches................

ok climbed underneath the car and took these, and no its not the 02 sensor wire that im talking about
