Not my transmission but couldnt find a better photo of it but when i had my can on a lift i looked at it and it seems to be sticking out about half to 3/4 of an inch. What it is and is it supposed to stick out?

Maybe a mechanical speedo. That also looks like maybe a 13 spline input so it doesn't go anywhere near my car fella

Looks like a Tremec transmission, but not like the T56 in my car. I have a fill plug on that side but its forward and up higher.

That is a Tremec T-56 and that is the fill plug. Mine doesn't stick out that far but anything is possible. The plug itself isn't very deep so it may be cross threaded if its out that far. If its tight and not leaking, I'd leave it alone.

if you really dont know, it is the fill plug and it screws in the trans, it will stop when tight, You remove that plug and fill the trans until fluid starts to come out of that hole, Then put the plug back in.
Or it is where the flux capacitor attatches................

I could be wrong, but I believe the thing you've circled in the last post is the clutch line.
