Default sooooooo question

I just recently did heads and cam in my '02 Z28. It has a stock LS6 clutch in it with maybe 10k miles on it. Was on the highway tonight and decided to floor it in 3rd/4th. I floored it in 3rd and noticed a quite large cloud of smoke behind me and then noticed that my clutch pedal was stuck to the floor and I wasn't able to get into gear.


Is it a safe bet that I will be needing a clutch much sooner then I anticipated?

Did the clutch hold or did it slip? did the pedal come back up? Im know expert but it sounds like you will need a new clutch. Call Monster talk to Steve or Matt let them know whats going on. They can point you in the right direction.

Sounds like the infamous clutch sticking issue. It's very common. There are numerous threads on this issue here's the most informative thread.

Yeah I read that but I'm mainly concerned about the cloud of smoke I made lol

in order for your clutch to create enough smoke that you would see it BEHIND you while doing 60+, you would have to be be slipping the clutch at full throttle for a good chunk of time.. i highly doubt its your clutch.. possibly a secondary problem

try and replicate it.

Okay stupid thought but could it have been my tires rubbing on the inner fender since I had so much weight in the car?
