Default What time of day do you wash your car?

It's a simple enough of a question, what time of day do you wash your car? For instance, I usually wash my car at night, after 9pm when the wife and kid are in bed. This way I don't detract from any family activities by washing the car.

It's already in the garage, just turn on the lights and take my time.

I also like to think that i might be doing my paint a favour by not roasting it in the sun while I wash and wax it.

I was just curious if other peopel have the same habit.

I wash my cars in the late evening when the sun starts to go down. That way there's more shade.

I try to wash closer to the evening, like around 4:30 or 5. Theres a pretty good tree line the sun falls behind around then. I dont always feel like waiting though.

^^^ hahahahahahah...I like it!

Early morning (prior to mid morning sun) or evening (before twilight), really just making sure the car is nice and cool.

if you have a garage, it's ANY TIME OF DAY for you....but I wash it whenever I want. The sun doesn't bother me much, just gotta keep the car wet and clean one spot at a time.

Whenever I have time. That also means sun or not, don't have much of a choice. I don't care too much about this paint though, its all messed up anyway and going to get repainted this summer.

Once I do that though, I'm gonna be crazy about washing and waxing properly, I'll probably have a nervous breakdown every time a bird flies near it

when i gave my whip fresh new paint...and my daily driver (acura integra blew a head gasket)....I was truly scared for my cars life parking it here at rutgers.... luckily there was only one incident, in which someone tapped the rear bumper. I got those scratches out, thank god, but it required me to wetsand my newly painted bumper!!!!!!!

99% of the time I wash the cars at night between 9-11pm (when the wife and kids are in bed) if I have to wash it in the day I prefer before 8am.

before 8am or when the sun starts to go down and my driveway is shady. usually when i have a day off,so can dedicate 6-8 hours of detail time or just wash it one day and then finish the rest in the garage the next day.
