Port and Polished Stock Throttle Body
So ive been reading on here that a decent amount of people are porting and polishing thier stock LS1 throttle bodies, i was just wondering how this is being done, is everyone going to a machine shop and getting it done or is there a way to do it at home, i called my local machine shops and they really dont now what im asking for, they wanted sizes and tolerances and all this other stuff.

There are numerous sponsors that do this on the site... There is a guy on ebay (also a member here) that does them. If you want him, search for "ported ls1 throttle body" and look for the one with the chick with big **** behind it. He does quality work.
If you want a sponsor, check the links... ------->

I am also planning on doing this in the summer, but I am going to do it myself. Is there a write-up somewhere on here to show the best way to do it? My friend P&P his throttle body on his 90 Supra Turbo and said it was pretty easy. Is that the case with these?

"damian" or "thesilverghost" are the two members I know of that do it. They are both well respected for their work. I had mine done from them. I'm a doit yourselfer guy, dropped my tranny, changed my suspension by myself, for the minimal price you pay ($65) I think it's worth it to send it out and have it done professionally. And the norm is 5-7hp, not 10hp.

There's also countless dyno's showing these average gains from P&P TB's. As well as the stock MAF flowing about 805 cfm while descreened the MAF will flow well over 1000 cfm. But it doesn't really matter either way to me. If you want to, do it, if not, don't. I just present data, take from it what you will.

Hi guys. I have an ls2 V8 and im doing the following mods.
l92 heads, headwork 11:5.1 compression,fast 102mm manifold, 3000rpm high stall converter, big camshaft, 229/242 114LSA,
Im port matching my stock throttle body and also port matching the FAST manifold.
I expect some serious power and performance after these mods.
What do you guys think?
