Default 1.30 60ft but...

My suspension sure does suck! I am working on it though. It is a good thing I got a trans brake, too bad I have never been able to use it. With some helpfull advice from Bob at NRC Motorsports I should be cutting some clean high 1.2X's with no wheelie bars this year.

So, who is cutting 1.2X to 1.3X 60ft times and what is your set-up if you don't mind sharing.

Thanks!

Tom

Don't ask! I have Afco double adjustable shocks on all 4's but the torque arm and traction bar were custom made by this hack named Wes at Nebraska Chassis. I took the T/A out the other day and it was twisted really bad. The upper rear heim was egg shaped and the inner bearing just fell out. I could continue on but my blood pressure is starting to rise.

Hi Tom,
Looks like you could use an anti-roll bar on the rear.
Nice 60!

I have been a fan of the NMCA EZ Street and PRO Extreme class and what those cars are capable of doing without wheelie bars. I really like Bob Currans vette.

I agree with Kurt...must be something wrong with that anti-roll setup you have. I was talking with Bob last night and he mentioned your car. Does the car have SFCs also?

IF you have a Anti Roll like the wolf, I've seen em twist up. IF it was solid there should be no way the car can twist that much. Something else for you to check out. Isn't Bob's Curran vette fairly low. The low stance helps a bunch from pulling the wheels so does the longer wheel base

1.39 60's here only motor with a 346 ci LS1, nice even wheelies, 0 body flexing/twisting.

REAR SUSPENSION:
QA1 Rear Shocks
Stock Springs
Wolfe Anti-Roll Bar
BMR Boxed Subframes
Mad Man LCA
Mad Man PHR
LG HD Torque Arm
12 Bolt Moser Rear End /w Spool

You definately need to get your suspension nailed down. I would almost think you have that Wolfe bar installed wrong. I used to pull the left front like you are until I put the Wolfe bar on my car. Now both wheels are level and straight.

Something is up with the anti-roll if your car twists up like that. We had a car that would twist up badly, we put on the anti-roll and the car leave very squarely now. But, I have seen the anti-roll bar twist in some cars if the stock isn't thick enough, and I have heard of some of the aluminum ears deforming on others. A good solid bar with welded ears should keep the car square as long as the other parts of the suspension aren't binding, etc...

Here is a pic of the car I am talking about with the anti-roll in place and working properly...

Gosh that track sure looks familiar. I like how Wes first set up your torque arm.

Bob Currans Corvette is very nice but since he has ladder bars, does he have an fully adjustable suspension? Also his car is pretty low in spite of the fact he runs some tall tires.

Damn, that photo looks like you were competing in a lowrider hopping contest. "Three wheel mo-shun, make it hop!"

Thats a hell of a lot of twist!

Almost as bad as mine. I was hoping a sway bar would smooth my launch out. Now I'm wondering

BMR anti sway bar, hals, and air bags. mine leaves and lifts perfectly straight now, high 1.2x 60's/low 1.3x's are the norm for me. i am sure you'll get it sorted out.
