Long tubes without tune for clutch break in?
Ordered Kooks 1 7/8" Long tubes for my 05 V and was considering doing a clutch at the same time its on the lift. Only concern is not being able to strap it on the dyno for a tune during the 500 mile break in of the Monster Level 3. Of course I wouldnt be beating on it, would the car be fine for the 500 miles until I could get a tune? Main difference is that its already tuned and has a few degrees of timing pulled for the 100 shot.
BTW did a search and couldnt find anything similiar.

Well for one you don't really need a tune at all for headers if you didn't want to. I understand you will have lights for emissions things that are inop but as far as a tune goes dont worry about it for the time being.
As far as the clutch goes you not dumping it or shifting fast like you would when your racing. you shift like you would normally and then its locked in 4th for the pull.

Although a tune is not needed to run headers, it is HIGHLY recommended to get optimum performance from them. Also, you'll probably get an SES light and might run more rich then normal. It should be fine to drive around without a tune, but I would suggest getting one, at least a mail order (i.e. from frost), in the near future. Oh! Welcome to the world of M6's

I would definitely get a tune. Its not going to hurt it to run it for now, but for optimum performance its recommended. Epically for the longevity of your vehicle. Your car will be much happier with a tune.
