I ordered a set of stock tail lights off of this site a few days ago, and got them today. PLEASE NOTE: The car came with the Euro's when i bought it a month and a half ago..i wouldnt spend my $$ on something like that.lol. Although this isn't some HUGE or cool mod..im just excited to have made some progress in shaping this SS back to life. Now i just need a rear bumber cover and SS Spoiler..lol

The NEW: stock replacements..used, in excellent condition, and purchased for $75 including shipping..cant complain about that.

much better i skipped to the pic frst and saw that and was like NOOOOO, get those off the car! then i read and realized that's what you were getting rid of.


on a side note. are you sure the person didnt try to pass a Z28 off as an SS?? or is there a story behind why there's no SS spoiler?

Yeah dude...no Euros for me...im glad to have stocks back on the car.

The car is a true SS, has the SLP codes. The story on the spoiler is that the car was rear ended back in 1998..so they fixed it with used parts. And the carfax backs up the rear end story. But like i said, the codes are all present so its a true SS

gotcha! i figured read end damage was the only reason for it. cause other than that, no one is just gonna get rid of the real one.

yeah that would be retarded..lol. I need to get some paperwork sent to me from SLP along with a spoiler...but ill find the spoiler in the classifides (if i can get lucky enough to get one before its gone). I just cant decide if i want to stay stock and go with the 96-97 Spoiler, or 98-02...ill probably stick with the stock. As soon as i can get the ZR1's powdercoated back to silver they'll go back on aswell...im currently running a set of SS 10 Spokes....little by little i guess..lol

I made the switch to the LT1 tail lights 3 years ago and never looked back
They flow so much better with the rear lines on the car

I got zr1's and always wondered what the 10 spoke would look like on mine, i like them cause they are a clean and simple look, so are the zr1's but it would be nice to have both sets

I think the 98-02 SS spoiler looks better. And yeah those tail lights are ugly as hell but I'm sure someone would want them. Resell them and get some of your money back

Thanks for the compliments guys!! Lol..please note...the Euro's came on the car when i bought it..so i didnt waste any of MY money on them. But ill throw them on craigslist for $50 and im sure some kid will pick them up.

I bought a set of LT1 Tail lights, because thats what i thought would go on a LT1 car..lol..but the sockets didnt fit. So after some research (although im STILL not 100% on it) i found many pics of 97 SS cars with the LS1 Tail Lights...bought a set and the sockets hooked right in...so whatever..they look good and im happy.

As far as the SS spoiler, i do like the 98-02...but a part of me wants to restore the car and keep everything original....ill decide one of these days..lol

First off, I don't even know if I would sell those or destroy them. I wouldn't want to see them on another Camaro, so I dunno...

Also, in 97 they switched the taillights to the newer style, as well as the interior, so those are correct for a 97 car.

Hey OP if you would PM me and lemme know where you got them from cause one of mine is cracked and water gets in there and blows my bulbs like no other and i have mine VHT'd and im tired of getting harrassed by the police about so im wanting to go back stock with my tail lights. much appreciated
