What clutch?
Okay so I have to replace my clutch fairly soon but not sure what to go with.
My two options are a Monster Stage 2 premium package (need a slave cylinder)
or the LS7 Clutch kit and a GM slave cylinder
2002 M6 Camaro Z28 making 409whp 392wtq

Youre on fastlsx right?
It holds up well, drives great. Ive cut 1.42 60's, 41 passes last year, hot lapped alot with almost no visible wear to the disk, pp, or flywheel. 3500 street miles too. Just had it out for inspection.
The LS7 sucks...

I've honestly heard a lot of good about the LS7 clutch....saying it sucks doesn't help, if you have some specific example I'd be interested in hearing about it too.
There's a lot of people on here that run the LS7 clutch, and I haven't heard anything really bad if you're not putting out too much power. Also, quite a bit cheaper than the Monster.

Where is a good place to buy an Ls7 Clutch kit????
If its cheaper than the Monster, you made up my mind! Why not save money!
Especially if it has no bad reviews! Have been searching and not found 1!

I've run more clutches then you have mods, so it's safe to say I have experience there. I make 439 rwhp, about 30 more than the op. I have toasted every clutch but this one. But I drag race a lot, 6500 rpm dumps and 7200 rpm shifts. I drive this car in nice weather and have never had a clutch do BOTH well until now. The ls7 is great until you put sticky tires on, or race it a lot. And saying it was designed for 505 hp means **** since they usually go by torque ratings. Needless to say our stock clutches can't hold up to stock power and most aftermarket ones slip well before the torque rating they claim.
Based on the responses I've received I am going to go with either a Monster or a Textralia

I know they used too. I don't see it on the site anymore. You could always give them a call if you really don't want the puck design. I would def go with the Monster 3. Yeah the Z06 will hold right now but its always nice to have that added security if you make even more RWHP.

Now that you've actually explained it, I understand what you're saying. If you're even close to reaching the torque rating (sorry, I guess I didn't understand what they rated clutches off of) you're better off getting something better. Even the LS7 clutch on the Z06 would no doubt fail if it was put through 6500 rpm dumps and was shifted past 7000 rpm over time....but for most users I think the LS7 is fine, and has been used with zero problems by many on this forum. If you're doing a lot of racing, are putting out a lot of power, or are going to seriously stress your setup, I can see that the Monster would be your best bet.
Not everybody does 6500 rpm clutch dumps, shifts past 7000 rpm, and is putting out 439 rwhp however....and I think it's for those people that aren't that saving a few hundred dollars on the LS7 makes sense
