Is my 1/8 mile time ideal ?
I got a 01 auto z28 loaded with leather and all the power optionsand t-tops. Its got a slp lid and k&n filter with a mac-catback with a 3.23 rear. My best time in the car is a 8.50. And it was spark knocking so my cousin said we need to change the fuel filter and the spark plugs got 77k on them.
So my last race I was up against a 00 z28 with no power options, cloth seats and it was a hard top, he had a slp lid k&n filter, bellow, a catback unknown was very quiet and then he did tell me he had a set of 3.73's with a tune. He ran a 8.58 up to me 8.50. I dont have the little time slip in front of me with all the reaction time and 60 ft but I remember the e/t's. So I was wondering for what I have done with it being an auto car if i ran pretty good or it that a normal time for whats done. It was about 92 degrees that day kinda hot. thanks for any replys

Thanks for all the replys. I have kumho asx's the stock size 245-50-16.
The reason I said I had leather is I was told that it weighs more then cloth.
Now the next thing is the full tune up so I can get rid of the spark knock and see is I can get the time just a little lower, and go on a cooler night. thanks again.
