Default Uh-oh! Hole in my pacesetter!

So looks like my blocked-off emission flange had enough. the weld started to crack, and i barely pushed on it and it started to break off... heres the results

can this hold be patched/welded over? id much rather fix this instead of drop the coin on new headers.. any help would be sa-weet.
thanks guys

same thing happened to mine years ago, I had a exhaust shop weld it up and I haven't had a problem since. I also had them cut off the A.I.R. fittings and weld up the holes

What about a warranty of some sort?
If not, definitely just patch it up..
There's no need in paying extra for new headers..
Those aren't ceramic are they?

i doubt the warranty applies when you block the emission flanges. they are ceramic coated.

well thankfully i wasnt driving or anything, just pulling out my heater core, and saw it was cracked while trying to fight the hardlines out of the tighest space ever. and i ended up pulling off the flange. going to have my buddy patch that hole, and going to get rid of all the other emissions flanges and have them welded shut.. then im going to wrap the headers to get rid of the ugliness

No I'm talking about the company you bought the headers from..
They should last..
If a weld cracks, obviously it's not your fault..
(Unless you built the emission block-off flange for the header)

right, i did not build the block off plates, got them through another sponsor.
but i doubt those flanges are supposed to be blocked off. i know its pretty common for them to crack/break being blocked off.

the headers are made of steel so a quick patch up should fix them for a while
