What SBC is it and if it is only the cam then no u just need to replace the cam.My first Camaro my friend wiped out my cam by adjusting the rockers while the car was running after that i learned how too adjust them on the engine stand. But no u dont have to do anything but the cam & lifters.

Just change the oil a few times just to make sure but u should be OK there really are not big pieces of metal just fine ones like what u would get @ break in.**** like that happens but u learn from mistakes and u get better @ it from them.

Yea,dont worry too much try just change cam & lifters and see how it goes.U can get a cam & lifters from Summit Racing for i think under $100 and just do a oil & filter change until u think it looks good. Good luck.

Replace cam and lifters and you'll be fine. don't worry much about the metal, most of it will end up in the lifters your going to replace, but as with any new cam, make sure you keep changing that oil! Good luck.

even if when I swipe a finger down in the valleys of the heads where the oil lays and get a finger full of grey oil . doesn't that mean theres metal everywhere?
