Unhappy Help Car wont start...need ideas

As of late my 2002 Trans Am wont start. When I turn the key all power still comes on, I can hear the fuel pump prime, all accessories work and the car does crank. That's it though. It cranks and cranks but it wont start. I don't crank it like crazy cause I don't want to burn up my starter. It fired up randomly once though when I tried many times and it ran perfectly normal, drove it up and down the block and it was fine. But the next day it did the same thing and just would not fire up.

I checked a spark plug to see if they were fouled out but it looked perfectly normal. I just changed my fuel filter as well and it does the same thing. The car has 39k miles on it. Any ideas??

Any input is appreciated, thanks.

its either a fuel or spark issue. I would try starting it then pull a few plugs and see if they are wet with fuel. Then i would pull a plug wire to test for spark by jamming a screwdriver in the end of the plug wire and holding the metal part of the screwdriver just slightly over something metal while having someone try to start the car. Once you figure out which one is not working then go from there.

i checked the plugs and they were fine, not fouled out or anything. there was a little bit of oil on the threads however.

what gets me is the fact that it has started up also and ran perfectly fine, regularly choppy idle from the cam and drove perfectly normal, it just refuses to fire up almost every time now.

it was the ignition relay, swapped it with a fan and the car fired right up!
