Default Drowsy Engine During Idle

Okay, I've had this issue on and off for about a year now. What happens is when I'm coasting or at a stop, the engine's idle speed will dip down to the 500 range, jump back up to about 1500, and fall back to my normal idle. Only once where the dip was strong enough that the engine just died on me, but I was able to just turn it back on.

It's basically stock, all it has is a lid and a catback. No, I haven't cleaned the IAC valve. If I can make it to the shop today I'll clean it off and see if it helps. Thanks.
