Default Sparco seats in 4th gen?

Seriously considering some sparco race seats. They are the evo 2 plus with side mounting. Curious if anyone has had these or other sparco seats in a 4th gen. Fitment? Thanks

Kirkeys dude...only way to go, easy to install, look good, and are pretty cheap. As long as you dont drive more than about a hour they are comfortable.

No good ones, I will take some this weekend. They look really nice though. Only downside is that its almost manditory to have a roll bar in the car for a back support.

Default Sparco Chrono in F-Body

I have a pair of Sparco Chrono Seats in my Camaro. They fit perfectly even though the seat bolsters angle outwards. The Chrono seats are tall so I mounted their sliders directly to the base without a tabbed adapter. I had a lot of issues ordering the correct base from Sparco and was really disappointed with their customer service. The manufacturer for Sparco seat bases is a third party company called, Wedge Engineering. First, Sparco shipped me the wrong base. Then, after I returned it to them, Wedge Engineering shipped me a "500 style" base that differed from the "500 Series base" pictured on Sparco's website. The label on it read, "98-02 Camaro" but it wasn't a direct bolt-on like I expected. Unlike the one on Sparco's website, I had to drill new holes for the sliders into the base.

There are alot of seats out there that are just as nice for alot cheaper! Check around also if you are looking for comfort buy a set and swap them out with drag seats for the track.

There are plenty of people running sparcos.. Go make a thread in the appearance section and you will get more/better responses. Here in the Racing section all we care about is weight and going fast. Kirkeys are going to be your answer in this section for sure....

Here is the thing, most guys arent willing to spend a $1000 for a racing seat. These are used in F1, rally etc... They are way beyond the SFI spec of most race seats in the states and have plenty more titles under their belt. Most domestic guys do run the kirkey which dont get me wrong are nice, but are not at all comfortable. There is such a thing as a racing seat that is ok to drive around town in. Just so happens they are very expensive. So i would have posted in the "appearance" section but these are a all out race seat.

Safety is number one as this car is slated to be a sold 8 second car, but it's going to be driven on the street alot and the last thing I want is for it to be some uncomfortable piece of ****. That's why I am researching this so heavily. I'm not taking it on and off a trailer. It will have a/c and a radio plus full interior. If people laugh at my "rice seats" thats just good old american ignorance. I am still considering a set of kirkeys if I can't get sparcos. Maybe I can have a custom insert made for the kirkeys to make them comfortable for car shows and cruising aroung town. Thanks for all the replies!

As you can see I went with the Sparco Evo 3. Clay @ Forrester Racing Engines did a excellent job. It looked impossible to fit at first but I forgot that clay is the magic man! Thanks again for the opinions.

Kirkeys really arent that uncomfortable. Everyone who has ever taken a ride in my car is REALLY surprised how comfortable they car. Just dont take a road trip with them, or you will want to rip them out of the car. But anywhere within a hour is plenty fine.

And you are such a baller you just buy $1,500 seats like it's nothing right!? LOL. Whatever dude. These are racing seats. Made in italy. No i didnt get the $1500 dollar seat which is that much because its "carbon fiber". If you don't like them cool. Never seen "bride gia" in Le Mans, but I have seen sparco. In my opinion these are a better seat than the kirkeys. When you can afford to buy a $1500 sparco seat, then that is the point at which you should speak on their product. FWIW the EVO 3 (sparcos largest race seat) is $800. Just the seat, no brackets or hardware.
