I'm glad to see you ended up going with the Wavetrac. Why did it take so long, Moser ships rears out just two days after the order is received? Bob

For some reason it took them a while to pay Moser. But it all worked out, I was able to get my relocation brackets added to the order before it shipped.

Rear looks good. If i were you though, I would have the pattern on that gear set looked at for a second opinion. The pull side looks a little high and is not centered on the tooth. Just tryin to help.

Trust me, just because it has Moser stamped on the side doesn't mean a rookie didn't set up the gears. In fact, I've read several horror stories of inaccurate setups from Moser. I'm not trying to scare you or have you call Moser right away, just raising the flag based on what I saw in the picture. I have over 15 years experience in gear set ups.

Let me prove it to you. Compare your picture with this one and you will see exactly what I am talking about.
It doesn't mean the pattern is wrong because sometimes you have to compromise if the gearset was say.......cut incorrectly or not lapped properly but fell within spec of putting the QC sticker on them. Sometimes you have to compromise and find the happy medium between pull and coast. Usually the best thing to do (or at least in my case) is to set the pull where I want it for whatever application and let coast sit wherever it's going to sit. If I'm not happy with the coast pattern, the gearset gets pulled and returned.

That is right, my gears are all ready toast and it has not been six months yet. They started making the death noise 2 weeks after install. I thought spending 3K + would be worth it over the 10 bolt. Right now I am seriously starting to regret spending that kind of money for this ****. Oh, and it is starting to shake at 60+ mph.
I could have spent a lot less on a 10 bolt. Hell, the 10 bolt gears lasted 40K.

I see what you mean. But I don't know if having a wavetrac would make a difference.

Not at all......that ring gear bolts to a wavetrac just like it would any other carrier, posi, locker, spool...ect...ect...and then there is the setup routine, which every installer has their own way of doing things. The carrier has absolutely no effect on the setup, it's just a preferred part. You have a nice setup there and I know it wasn't cheap. Find someone close to you that knows gear setups and get a second opinion. It just might save your gearset if indeed it is a little off. I'm not there so all I have to go by are the pics.

I didn't want to change to their TA setup. Since I already had mine.
