LMR's Rear Mount Turbo Camaro Dyno Vid!!
Just finished upgrading Jared Shepards car to a 91.5mm turbo. Car made 961rwhp and 775rwtq on 20lbs of boost through a 4L80E transmission. Jared, you are going to LOVE this car on the highway!!! Enjoy...

rear mounts are just different. obviously they can make good power as proven above. they just behave different than a front mount. i for one think they are awesome. the noise they make gets me all excited

That's how long I counted before the boost came in. No wonder you said he's going to love it on the highway. That looked like a Supra dyno run. Impressive peak power (kudos to LMR), but slow spooling is not my cup of tea. I'm too impatient.

Seen front mount turbo guys with lag issues, so i will have to chalk it to all in the setup/size of components.

Nasty vid I love it!!! If my car sounded like that and made those numbers I am pretty sure I would be happy. Didn't really seem like mutch lag for a massive turbo.
Also where else will you out a turbo that big??? I know people cram stuff in some tight places but that thing is huge!!!
Nice work guys
also dont bitch about turbo lag until you get your own!

Like Steven posted earlier with the converter locked up it is indeed a bit laggy. On the dyno pulls that the converter was unlocked it was maby 2-300 rpm slower than a traditional front mount. Also the unlocked numbers were only 20-30 shy of the locked up numbers. IMO that is a pretty efficient piece.
Now Duy. Jeese, how many times do we have to run over your heros for you to realize that we get it done at the track as well
