Default (New engine) Legit junkyards around spring/N. Houston?

Anyone with experience with junkyards in north houston can chime in and tell about it? I'm looking for a new engine for my 3.8 camaro which spun a rod bearing.

There used to be one by Rayford Sawdust, I'm not sure anymore. Heading south on the frontage rd of I45, turn right after that Texaco, turn left again, and then I think you make a right and follow it all the way back. they used to have nothing but late model sports cars like corvettes, camaros, and mustangs.

If not, there is always Airline. There seems to be a dozen or so all along that road.

it seems like all the salvage yards use car-parts to power their search engine.

LKQ seems to have a lot... and a fairly good rep. i just don't want to swap in a new motor and find out it's screwed up or something.

it would be wise to have the motor looked at before installing, as i THINK its hard to tell how long the motors been sitting and what, if anything is wrong with it..

Hey did you ever find a motor? I am looking for the same thing and wanted to see if you had a good experience with anyone.
