A few days ago I was emailing a guy from Kansas who did a 3.8L V6 to LS1 swap on his firebird and I asked him the same thing. It seems you can use the stock v6 K member but you'll need new engine mounts and you should probably also switch the stock springs otherwise it might sit a little lower and the springs might be too soft for the added performance.

I have a 99 SS role over and a 00 V6 roller I have all of the parts I need to mechanically make the swap however, my SS K looks like someone hit something and bent a slight crown in the bottom of it. I was wondering if I could use just the v6 K and transfer everything else. I guess Ill just do it and then ill know.

OK, G8= 1 wheel peel. Got a 9" goin in as soon as the fac. crap fails. I like to break the weak links for fun. As for believing they are different I didnt think so at a glance, but will go with it any way. I was just not wanting to leave it all scattered around in my shop while I located a dif. K.
