It was bored 40 over on its first rebuild? Sounds like a nasty block to start with, if you're running stock heads/springs/rockers/valvetrain then don't bother with boost. Boost applies a preload to all these components and cuts down their effectiveness, trust me. Been there done that, all those "the real cost of boost threads" are genuine, I was one of those oh those guys are just stupid people. Trust me, boost is fkn expensive.

Take a look at my brother's '95 Formula, the link is to the old website. The ProCharger has been on the car since 2002.

The quickest pass so far was an 11.58 at 113mph. This was in a bracket race and had dialed an 11.65. The low trap speed is from lifting at the big end. Should have stayed in it to see what it would have run!! We will have some track pics soon.
Then at the bottom
29 Oct 08 Another new best- 10.914 @ 121.90 mph with a 1.452 sixty foot. Muncie prepped the track really well for the season closer, and the car responded. The DA was also great, started at +300 and when I made the last pass it was -300. Check out the video from the night!!

Now not to hijack, but my questions are very relevant to the OP so I don't really see it as a hijack. I notice a lot of people saying turbo, but I see no specification as to WHY. I understand that for a drag application turbo is the best for obvious reasons for those that have basic knowledge of the two systems. But for a street or street/strip application, wouldn't a supercharger create a more linear, N/A like power curve, thus making the car more predictable? I am wondering because I have been contemplating eventually building a Procharged 355.

well i have both, and actually the turbo is easier to drive on the street cause it dosent hat as hard as the charger. im runnin a d1sc and when it hits it hits hard, and i have much more traction problems. but with the turbo its easier to manage.

You can make a turbo look more linear on paper. Get a boost controller thats rpm adjustable. I ran a Apexi AVCR on my Nissan and when i had a smaller responsive turbo i would leave it at wastegate 7psi early in the rpms and set the controller so as the rpm increase, the boost would raise. Made it less squierly on the street and pulled like hell in the top end. I set it so boost would creep from 7psi under 3500rpm to 16psi by 7500rpm. Was a blast to drive that way.
