Edelbrock ProFlo XT on an LT1?
Has anybody used this intake on an LT1? I wanted to do a single plane set up and stumbled across this manifold and it looked interesting. Not a bad deal if it actually works, eliminates the need for an intake elbow so it really might be cheaper.
Gonna do the 24x LS computer conversion and try to push 8k.

it's not a dual plane design, all runners use a common plenum. i'm just curious why the OP thinks the elimination of an elbow makes it a cheaper alternative? Usually when you're looking to build a motor that makes good power at 8000 rpm, cheaper alternatives are left out of the picture.

8k?
I just wanna make people wonder what's going on in that old LT1.
Also, the cam i'm gonna use is just a shade smaller than the GM847 which just starts to kick in at high RPM. (maybe won't actually get 8k but i wanna use all of that cam). i just feel really limited by the 7200 limits of the LT1 PCM and I don't wanna go 383
this is what I was wanting to know. not looking to spend all my dollars on an intake elbow and manifold etc. if I can do the same thing with one manifold.
I'm sure there are some drawbacks to the proflo although I'm still curious if it's capable of supporting that rpm range with the 90mm TB
maybe I should ask the sbc crowd it may be more common on gen I sb

bingo, i'm a long way from actually buying stuff yet. just wanted to know if the proflo was equivalent to a single plane, apparently not. i've just never heard anything good or bad about it.
I wanna do the single plane, elbow, and 90mm with the LSX pcm. You have some experience with this yes?
Reason for mods:
I have a buddy putting an LQ9 6.0 in his M6 T/A with L92 heads and intake etc. I'd really like to beat him with my 355 LT1.
