04 gto A4 belt slipp during 1st-2nd shift??
I am a new gto owner and when i first bought my gto it was bone stock and i had zero belt slip. Thx Eric

OP,
Do you have and underdrive pulley?
If so, the belts will be different size VS stock.
Just an idea.
If you are lucky maybe you can read the part # off the existing belts on the car (provided they are the correct size.)

ya, belt slip won't lose any power as it is just turning the water pump, alternator etc. I'd be more worried about clutch pack slippage in the transmission. Pull your tranny dip stick and take a look at the fluid and smell it. If it's brownish instead of pink and smells burnt start driving less aggressively and start saving up . . .
