I had 19's on my old SS a while back and also had 19" True Forged Chicane RS on my 03 Cobra. Search my posts. I had HP Racing HPR5's 19x9.5 on all 4 corners. 19"s are perfect for these cars imo. I will be getting a set of 19" True Forged Speed 6 for my V soon as a matter of fact.
Edit. Here is the thread when I first got them installed a few years ago. https://ls1tech.com/forums/wheels-ti...oes-my-ss.html
Please do not post in that thread and resurrect it from the dead

@ 98CustomSS: looks so good! How much did you get your rear tires for? 19 tires are a pretty penny!
@big reg: Nice looking car, would have looked ever better slammed.
A good plus of running 19" wheels is the extra ground clearance! thats one of the many reasons why im going with them. I would say its a done deal.
These are the wheel I will be putting on my car:
DPE SP5, Machined aluminum face w/ polished aluminum lip.
The MWC Fab 9 rear end is being narrowed 3" per side, that will yield around a 6" lip on the rear.
How do you think it will look?

Not sure exactly on the tires. I bought a wheel and tire package from CCW, I believe they are less than $200 a tire. I think those wheels will look pretty badass on your car!!

just wondering because i just ordered the same 19x10 19x11 setup from ccw. they recommened me a 275/30/19 in the front, same 305/30/19 in the back though. i know i'm going 305/30/19 in the back for sure.
i've been debating between 275/30/19 and 285/30/19 in the front. is there a reason you went 285/35/19 in the front? or did you mean 285/30/19? i like the way the wheels/tires look on your car.

the side tire profile number (30) is a percentage of the width number ( 305 ). 305 is measure in millimeters. So multiply the width (305) by the percentage and you will get the actual side profile in mm. I believe ;-)

i know that, but i'm talking about overall diameter including the wheel and tire. a 305/30/19 wheel and tire is 26.2 inches in overall diameter. a 285/35/19 wheel and tire is 26.85 inches in overall diameter. so a 285/35/19 is overall taller than a 305/30/19. that was my question. if he's using an overall taller setup in the front than in the back. or did he mean to say 285/30/19 or something else.

Yeah I think they are the 285/30/19...I can't remember off the top of my head But it would make sense..the 285/35/19 is 26.73 inches tall, the 285/30/19 is 25.79 inches tall, and the 305/30/19 is 26.22 inches tall. I will have to check when I get home.

Mine isn't a Camaro but you can get a jist of the stance... I had the staggered Z06 wheels.. Then I got the 19'' Axis Super Hiro's.. 275-30-19 on the front and 295-35-19 on the rears..
Now I have 19'' Ruff Racing wheels waiting to get installed.. I love the look and the way the wheel wells are filled in.
