Has anyone taken out their Camaro front grille? If so how easy or hard is it and where are the mounting locations?
Thanks

Re: camaro front grille removal
yeah, sorry I forgot to do a search before I asked! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> But that sounds a little scary to just yank it out, because I am going to put the same one back in. I just want to take it out to do my vinyl stripes.

There is a way to remove the stock POS grille without destroying it. It's a waste of time if you ask me. You should get one from SLP...either the SS or the Chevy bowtie grille. I don't know exactly how to remove the stock one properly. There was a thread about it a while back. It was pretty detailed.

I think about the only way to remove it safely is by removing the front fascia, I would just as soon replace it with the SLP SS grille before removing the fascia.

okay.. did this already, do not pull it out! i did it the hard way and just took off the whole front bumper. Its really not hard it just takes time. takes about an hour to get it off if ur doing it for the first time. Well worth it when ur saving urself $130 just so you can do it "quicker" IMO. PM me and i can tell you where the bolts are and what u need to do.

There are clips at the bottom and sides. Those come out easily.
There are 3 "plastic bolts" if you will, across the top. They are plastic rods/nubs, with a self tapping nut on the backside... If you get in behind there, you can unthread those nuts, and not have to break the plastic nubs.
