Default stock lt1 with h/c/i= I have ?

Im looking into running my stock bottom end lt1 with le2 heads and a L.E specd cam at 236 242 .595 lift on 111 lsa. With headers, 3" ypipe merged to 4" with a bullet/turndown all on a RPM built 4l60e on a 4000 stall. With 3.23 gears for now Until later in the summer they will be swapped out for 3.73s. Also I will be hitting it with a 150-200 shot of spray. ANyone else out there with this setup.

Any opinions please or questions. This is my setup for now until I can afford my monster 396 to go in next year

But any suggestions, tips or ideas to help me get this little engine that could going lmk please

thanks guys

Lots of guys run the stock shortblock with H/C packages. As long as it's in good shape then why not? If it has really low oil pressure and/or burns oil then I would do a full rebuild before anything up top. Watch the oil pressure when the motor is fully warmed. At an idle I would want a minimum of 15lbs and I would want it to go up steadily as the rpm's go up. Over 40lbs at 4000rpm and i'd say it is suitable for some power parts up top. Some LT1 cars run VERY low oil pressure, like 5-10lbs at idle. I would suspect some clearance issues inside and I wouldn't feel comfortable spinning a shortblock like that to 6500rpm. Something is bound to let go.

That duration seems a bit much. He specd me a 228/236 .592/.592 on a 110. I'm running a stock bottom end with heads similar to LE2s, 3600 stall and 3.73s. Id double check with him about it

Well with that duration it will be more strip ready rather than street ready. Its like running a gm847 cam or comparable.

I assume you checked PTVC when you assembled the engine? I'm curious how that cam works for you. I have a 230/238 looking to upgrade to more aggressive.
