The 52 mm is more than adequate. I'm guessing your making about 400 - 410 hp based on your mods. The stock 48 mm can handle up to 400 hp. With your current power, I would not upgrade to a 58 mm.
If you add a major power adder, then you can make a case for 58 mm. However, for bolt on cars like ours, nothing bigger than 52 is recommended. It's all about maintaining velocity as bigger is NOT always better.
EDIT - Just re-read your post. If I read you correctly, you have a 383 with nitrous? If so, you are making more power than I first thought. In that case, you may benefit from a well built 58 mm. Personally, I would not leave it to chance, but do a dyno comparison, as it's fairly quick and easy to do a comparison. Still, my only concern is you're not force feeding the motor. Hence, 58 mm might still be too big. If I remember correctly, George Baxter was running a 52 mm in his 1,000 hp SS.

I saw a 2KPA reduction in vacuum loss going from the 52mm to the 58mm on my motor. If you want to believe the "internet message board rule" that for every point of KPA loss = a loss of .5% power. Then I gained maybe maybe 4HP by going from the 52mm to the 58mm.
I will speculate that the gain might be a whopping 4-6HP by going from the 48mm to the 58mm or so. I will not claim that I could feel any noticable gains from the bigger TB.
The quick answer is there are no magic gains with LT1 TB's until you start making big power or your boosted. Whether its worth it is up to you.
