weather and how it affects performance
i went to the track the other day with some friends and we all ran horrible times. my friend in the 335i has ran 8.5 at 87.9 mph with a passenger and full tank in the 1/8th and he could only get a 8.97 at 83mph, friend in a cammed 5.3 truck runs consistent 8.6-8.7s at 81 and was only running 9.3s at 75mph. All the good times were on a 70 degree day and the bad times were on 92degree with alot of humidity, i didnt know weather could slow you down that much....can it??

Did you end up getting a 6.0 or a 5.7?

Density altitude (temp, humidity/dewpoint, altitude/elevation) makes all the difference in the world. Alot of us run the numbers and figures and adjust for it. You should look into it a little bit more; you can find several sites were you can plug in the variables, and you'll see your times and trap speeds from hot humid days coincide with the ones from better days.
I've ran 12.6 at 112 in the 1/4 on a 60 degree with mild humidity, and I only managed a 13.7 in 95 degree weather 90% humidity. ... It's the ugly truth... It's hurt NA mod/tuned cars most. The bigger cubes and forced induction suffer less.
