What's it take to make 360-365rwhp?
Can't go over 371 rwhp without breaking out of my class for time trials. I want to give myself a little room for dyno error, so I'm shooting for 360rwhp.
Stock everything on the motor now, would prefer to do simple bolt ons to get there.
What will it take?
TIA!

lid, exhaust, headers, and a decent intake...if you don't mind getting in to the engine you could stick a cam in. You could probably stick in a 224 cam only with all stock everything else and be right there without any extra mods...there is more than one way to skin a chicken

I plan on doing a cam, headers and intake. The motor is going into my Porsche 944 (soon to be not turbo).
So I have to run headers and an intake to get the motor to fit. It's just a question of what cam I need to run and if I need to replace the stock intake manifold and throttle body.
I don't have a lot of hood clearance to play with, so any intake manifold that's higher than stock will be a tough fit..

Bolt-on's will get you right there with a little bit of tuning. I don't think you'll need a cam for that...
I would see how close you get with bolt ons. If you have a little more room to play around, I would do a minor port job on the heads and call it a day.

I've heard that most of the 01-02 camaro/firebird LS1's came with the LS6 intake. That true? How can I tell by looking at the motor to see if it already has the LS6 intake?
I'm definitely doing a cam, as once I put the motor in the car I won't have access to it without taking apart the entire nose of the car.
Who do you all recommend for tuning?

As far as looking, you can't really without taking the intake off and looking at the underside of it. I'm pretty sure the flat style is the LS6 intake. I do know all 2002 models have it, not 100% about all 2001 cars though.

Longtubes, LS6 intake and true dual exhaust brought me to 344HP.
TR224 0.561 lift Cam + underpulley brought me to 373HP.
A bit of tuning brought that up.
Rocker arms + no tick pushrods of proper preload + 3.9 gears may balance out.
I think the cam is the simplest route for good power or every bolt on that exists.
